Atacama Desert

Atacama Desert is a huge map situated in South America, which used to be a sea judging by the grounded ships that are marooned in the sand. It's probably one of the largest maps in the game and players are expected to be very dependent on using vehicles to travel between the small towns and also to fight off the oncoming onslaught of enemies. There are several tanks and an attack helicopter at each spawn, helicopters often dominate the match if they are driven by the right person. There is opportunity for players to use all classes, as there are many areas for CQB and several high-spots for players to utilize the range and power of snipers. Because the map is so large, the combat isn't chaotic and several fire fights can be going on throughout the map without you even realizing it. The grounded ships and abandoned buildings provide great cover if under fire, and players can easily flee on an ATV or Humvee. All in all, a fantastic map for all types of combat.
