VSS Snaiperskaya Special
Real-World Background: Russian special operations forces, like any other fighting force in Russia, based a lot of their combat around the AK-47 and its variants. That meant that whatever the situation, the AK was supposed to perform. However, eventually the operators realized that, in terms of silent target removal from a range of 400 meters, there was a better way to do it rather than a silenced AKM. The VSS seemed to do just that quite nicely, being a tactical sniper rifle (perhaps the first) that made stealth operations more fluid when removing the target at distance was the easiest option. It's integral silencer and subsonic ammunition make the gun's shots virtually untraceable. The subsonic ammunition, though, still maintains a great level of lethality, and while it has terrible complications outside of 400m, the bullets can easily pierce body armor within it. A gun specially tailored for a unique role and nothing else, certainly a philosophy throughout all of Russian weaponry.
Notes for Usage: Everyone has had a moment in gaming where they wished for an automatic sniper. Well, now you have one. Lower damage, medium accuracy, and lower rate of fire. The scope certainly feels awkward with how this gun fires, but once you get used to it it'll do fine for most situations. The clip is very small and you'll find yourself running out rather quickly, especially if your target is particularly elusive. Burst firing is the best method for this gun, with single shots only being effective against stationary targets and automatic fire being wasteful.
Optics: Even though the scope on this gun can be used well, a gun like this demands other optics in closer situations. RDS basically makes this gun an SMG, but with greater accuracy and the benefit of a gillie suit. ACOG should be used for situations where the range of the stock scope is needed, but more important is your field of view.
Prime Environment: Urban or Low-Light (Example: Base 2 on Nelson Bay)
