Type 88 Sniper
Real-World Background: Many situations today make the assault rifle ineffective at engaging targets accurately. Then the role of a designated marksman comes in, and the weapon that soldier carries fills the middle ground between sniper rifle and and standard infantry rifle. With a bullpup configuration, the Type 88 can be that rifle, keeping a full length barrel at a manageable size package, and its specially tailored 5.8mm round has been claimed as very effective in terms of intermediate rounds. The gun can supposedly take specialty, high load rounds as well, but this is unconfirmed. The PLA and Chinese police currently employ this gun on a pretty large scale, and to that end their army has one more component that is geared to the future.
Notes for Usage: Though the gun needs two bullets to kill, the Type 88 will put both on target with ease. High Accuracy, medium damage, and low rate of fire. The scope does feel a little strange with the Type 88, certainly seems like it'd work better with a mil-dot scope. The clip is substantial for a sniper, but it will certainly run out in longer engagements (especially if you're using RDS with this gun.) It's not very useful to take your shots one at a time with the Type 88, you should be looking for the second before you even take the first.
Optics: The Type 88 is most definitely a gun that can benefit from both optics. Put on an RDS and you've got yourself an urban battle rifle. ACOG on this gun gives you field of view you so desperately need for this guns effective range.
Prime Environment: Urban to Semi-Urban (Example: Base 3 on Arica Harbor)
