SV98 Snaiperskaya
Real-World Background: For all the eccentric sniper designs that have come out of Russia, not a gun-smith under the sun can deny the reliability and accuracy of the tailored, simplistic design of a quality bolt action. This is the basic idea behind the SV98, an installment in Russian police and counter terrorist forces. Designed right off of a sporting rifle, the weapon has full adjustable stock and components that would be fit for competition (which translates nicely to target removal.) There's no toying with subsonic, semiautomatics, stamped parts or bull-pup designs here, the SV98 is as simple as the 7.62 NATO it can be chambered for.
Notes for Usage: If a regular blade will substitute a scalpel, the SV98 can give you a 10 round load out for harrier engagements. Higher damage, very high accuracy, and very low rate of fire. The scope isn't particularly user friendly, but it does work well in conjunction with the SV98. The clip is the best part of this gun, making sustained fire possible with the SV98, unlike other snipers. Take care with each firing of this gun, but don't wait for the perfect shot. You've got ten rounds to run on.
Optics: The scope on the SV98 will do the job, but the gun can certainly benefit from the other optics. If you've ever wanted to use a bolt action with an RDS, this is the gun, mainly because of the clip. ACOG makes this gun pretty prime for urban environments.
Prime Environment: Semi-Urban (Base 2 on Islas Innocentes)
