MG36
Real-World Background: For Germany, a modern era of combat (1990's) meant a modern assault rifle, because after a other enterprises in various, would-be revolutionary weapon designs, the Germans were still stuck with outdated G3 rifles as the new millennia was approaching. Light-weight plastics, integral optics, Picatinny rail systems– all the new features of a modern assault rifle were put into the G36. But besides that, the gun's makers, Heckler-Koch, came up with a rock-solid, very clean firing action for the weapon, and it continues to use this action in many of the firearms it manufactures today. The MG36 uses the weapon as a base and adds a heavier, longer barrel and longer hand guard, along with a bipod and drum magazine.
Notes for Usage: Certainly capable of precision suppression, the MG36 busts heads open with ease. Low damage, medium accuracy, and higher rate of fire. The iron sights aren't actually iron at all, and instead the MG36 comes pre-fitted with a custom RDS. The sight is a red reticle in a scope-type sight, but the sight doesn't offer in any particular magnification. The clip is more than large enough for most engagements, only careless use of ammo will cause a low count to creep up on you. Full auto is no problem for this gun, bursting is only needed for the longest of ranges. '
Optics: There is absolutely no reason to use the an RDS with this gun, and this is because the gun already comes with one from the start. ACOG, though, while it looks like the same sight, is zoomed 4x, and this makes the MG36 a great long-range weapon, making great use of the added zoom while keeping the agreeable stock RDS.
Prime Environment: Wide-Open (Example: Base 1 on Islas Innocentes)
