Real-World Background: One of the criteria for an OICW weapon system is the ability to change the length of the overall weapon, meaning the barrel, receiver, and stock. The XM8 was able to do this, and its Compact version includes a 9 inch barrel and a "chopped" stock (really an absence of one.) This very maneuverable, very lightweight version of the XM8 still keeps its AR power, but as the XM8 program has been suspended it seems its versatility will never see combat, including the Compact version.
Notes for Usage: If easy to use means lethal, than the XM8 C has a license to kill. Low damage, lower accuracy, and high rate of fire. The iron sights aren't particularly suited for CQB, which makes sense because the XM8 is really and AR, but they are precise and can work. The clip runs out quick on occasion, but most engagements will be safe. Full auto can actually be used out to medium range (due to the volume of fire), but single or burst fire is better out to distance.
Optics: In one word (or acronym really): RDS. The iron sights will do you well if your not fighting up close, but with a gun like this you typically will be, ergo RDS. ACOG will work if it suits the player, but most won't like it with the XM8 C.
Prime Environment: Urban (Example: Base 2 on Arica Harbor)
