Real-World Background: Germany has always had both an interesting and successful history of submachine guns. There isn't any FPS gamer who doesn't know of the MP40. Heckler-Koch certainly upholds that legacy with its firearms manufacture, bringing us the MP5 (and its variations) as well as the MP7, an ultramodern take on the PDW. The UMPs evolution can be traced from the MP5, though, and was drawn up as a cheaper solution for law enforcement and certain importing clients. It's a quality piece, like all of HK's weapons, but the main components are all polymer, making it lightweight and not very complicated. With a closed bolt and chambered for .45 ACP, this gun makes for one hell of a person stopper, and at a cheaper price than an MP5.

Notes for Usage: Reflective of its bullet type, the UMP fires slow but hits hard. Lower damage, medium accuracy, and lower rate of fire. The iron sights aren't very open and are restrictive. The clip will certainly last you through an engagement, only running out in the longer fire fights. Full auto with this gun is very manageable and will work even out to the longest ranges.

Optics: The iron sights of this gun are perhaps its weakest point, and an RDS is heavily advised. Target acquisition without it is just difficult. ACOG will work well with the UMP, unlike most SMGs, and even can sometimes make this gun a surprise for snipers. Some strafe shooting against a reloading Recon man will at the very least frustrate.

Prime Environment: Semi-Urban (Example: Base 3 on Arica Harbor)
