9A-91 Avtomat
Real World Background: Actually denominated as a "compact assault rifle" because of its caliber, the 9A-91 is built around the 9x93mm cartridge. The subsonic round has been cited in ballistic testing as having superior AP capabilities to all pistol ammunition and a large number of common rifle calibers. This attribute has found much favor with Russian police and special operations forces, and when silenced and scoped the 9A-91 makes a cheap substitute for the VSS sniper system.
Notes for Usage: Pretty much a silenced AR, the 9A-91 won't loose power at distance. Lower damage, lower accuracy, and lower rate of fire. The iron sights are very open but the front sight isn't too distinct. The clip has a low ammo count and will need reloading after each engagement. Fully auto fire is very manageable even out to medium range with the 9A-91. Single or burst fire past that is need.
Optics: The iron sights will do the job, though crude, because most engagements when using this weapon won't need a lot of precision. The RDS works just fine with the 9A-91 as does the ACOG. The rate of fire keeps both optics manageable.
Prime Environment: Low Cover, Semi-Urban (Example: Base 2 on Valparaiso)
