Real-World Background: There is no gun that embodies the term "assault rifle" in the western world more than the M16 (and its family of rifles). Building right around the intermediate 5.56x45 round, Eugene Stoner's design was first released for field testing in 1962, and since then that same design has been resigning communists, radicals, and insurgents alike. Built as a jungle carbine, the original M16 came fully automatic at an astonishing 1000 rpm. The military brass soon realized, though, that ammo conservation was kind-of important, so the M16A2 was built to fire in 3-round bursts. The burst-fire has proven to have amazing effect on target, benefiting extremely from the guns accuracy. Though aging, Stoner's design has proven to be one of the best weapon systems in the 20th and into the 21st centuries. Even as new guns are being developed, there will undoubtedly be an aspect of each rifle that pays homage to this timeless rifle, the M16.

Notes for Usage: Like to go for headshots? The M16 will infallibly knock any block off. Lower damage, high accuracy, and higher rate of fire. The iron sights are known as "bunny ears" and are very user friendly at range. The clip will last you if your not wasteful, because the M16 can get those rounds out quick. Bursting is your only option, but even up close a few bursts will do the job, no crazy trigger finger needed

Optics: The M16 functions extremely well with both optics, RDS in close and ACOG at range. But, the iron sights will work just as well. In fact, if you're not a big fan of ACOG, use the iron sights at range if you feel the urge to test your eye a bit.

Prime Environment: Open Area, Urban (Example: Base 3 on Arica Harbor)
