STG.77 AUG
Real-World Background: Just about the next big thing since "the black rifle", the Steyr AUG seemed to be the future of guns when it was adopted by the Austrian army in 1977. Made to replace the venerable FN FAL, the AUG is more modern in every way. Coming stock with an integral telescopic sight, a fore grip, and a quick-barrel change system, here was a gun meant to be much more than just a carbine. Besides that, the AUG can be regarded as the most widely used bull-pup system to date. Modern versions include an RIS rail system for seamless use of grenade launchers and optics.
Notes for Usage: When power and movement are needed, use the AUG. Higher damage, lower accuracy, and medium rate of fire. The iron sights on the AUG aren't great but may be suited to certain shooters. The clip is adequate for the rate of fire and should last your through most engagements. Automatic fire is extremely effective at short range, but out to and past medium range bursting should be used.
Optics: Unless you have a pension for the iron sights, you'll likely want to roll out using RDS with this gun. Besides that, ACOG can be effective because of the guns power when used with bursting.
Prime Environment: Urban, Short Range (Example: Base 3 on Nelson Bay)
