Conquest

Conquest Flag

You could say this is a return from Bad Company 1 but it's getting played a lot more frequently in Bad Company 2. It was introduced into the game as an alternative to RUSH as an another objective/team-based game-mode. The aim of Conquest is to capture and hold all flags for as long as possible against all comers. Vehicles unlock as control points are captured and bonus points are added for inflicting casualties on the enemy team.

The main thing that most people don't realise about Conquest that in-fact its a glorified Team-Deathmatch and the flags only really act as re-spawn points. But it is vital to capture points as you don't want to be trapped in you starting base getting spawn camped by the enemy helicopter and Tanks.

Maps Conquest is playable on

This list seems limited but further DLC will incorporate more maps into supporting Conquest, but the best map in my opinion has to Atacama Desert due to it's large design and wonderful vehicle warfare.

Conquest Tactics

Conquest is a simple game mode, you will need to kill enemies in order to win the game as the flags act as re-spawn point which can be vital in trapping the enemy in their default base which gives you easily kills as the enemy has no place to hid. One great tactic on rush (if the map will support it) is to try and grab a Helicopter. Firstly you must eliminate the enemies chopper you can then drop your "Gunner" into the enemy base and when the helicopter spawns either: A) Destroy it once enemies have entered it, B) Grab the chopper yourself and fly it to your base and wait for a gunner to hope in. These tactics will ensure air superiority and with this complete you can get easily kills either at the enemy base or vehicles that are trying the flee from the destruction.

Another tactic is to simply stay with your squad, you will then try and get the two tanks that spawn at your base and patrol around the maps controlling bases, repairing and moving on this is a great way of getting experiance points and also to ensure the enemies have no room the breath allowing for a easy victory.
